The performance combines the two of "The Seagulls - by Anton Chekhov and Boris Akunin. The first part of the performance will reconstruct the events of the well-known classic work, while the continuation will feature a production of Boris Akunin's play, which will search for the possible cause of Konstantin Treplev's death.

"The Seagull" is a play full of mysteries, which Chekhov called a comedy. It is about the seemingly peaceful life of people of art by the "magic lake", which turns out to be full of irony, suffering, and loneliness. It is about dreams and longings that dissolve again and again like waves against a rock. It'is a series of events that leads one of the characters to a tragic end.

Who is to blame for the death of Konstantin Treplev? Each of the characters in “The Seagull” has had both a motive and an opportunity. However, no situation is unambiguous. The viewer will be offered six interpretation options, which will include not only further developments of the events, but also variations of the past. The characters will return to the recent past again and again, revealing each possible motive and ever new facets of Chekhov’s characters. And in the end, everyone will be able to draw their own conclusions.
