A certain Alberto de Stefano has invited a troupe of wandering actors, led by Don Gennaro, to perform in a fashionable resort. It would seem an incredible success: a rich hotel, rich vacationers that would mean luxurious rooms and a good income. But the problem is the hotel owner doesn’t allow to cook pasta in the room for some reason, and the spectators do not like it, when the costumes are poor, the props are simple, and the diva is "a little bit pregnant." And then there's a rehearsal, and bacon, and hot water, and jealous husbands…
The action of this truly Italian comedy takes place during one day, but in this short period of time a lot of comic, absurd, confusing events and misunderstanding can fit - from love triangles to the alleged insanity.
