In 1875, Fyodor Dostoyevsky publishes his new novel "The Adolescent" . Today it comes back to us as an absolutely actual story - the same problems, the same fears and the same ordinary, material, unquenchable desires.
Arkady Dolgoruky, a young man, is looking for ways to to become a "master of life". Initially he just wants to be very rich – to have lots of money, which should bring him power over men and women, friends and enemies. His nervous, lonely, unstable and reckless nature rushes and breaks, but in the end we are left with the hope that beyond the story this young man would grow up and find his way.
