Mikhail Chekhov Riga Russian Theater is launching a unique interactive entertainment and educational project for adults and children.

Since 2006, our theater has been the only one in the world to be named after the brilliant actor, staging director and teacher, who inextricably connects Riga and Hollywood: it was in our city that Mikhail Chekhov finally formalized and polished his method, by which he taught such stars as Marilyn Monroe, Clint Eastwood, Yul Brynner and Elizabeth Taylor in the USA. Many modern actors, including Al Pacino and Leonardo DiCaprio, consider him their teacher, too. Moreover, most of the Oscar winners admit they studied Mikhail Chekhov's technique.

What is this technique, in essence? As they say, it's better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times; however, we also suggest actually trying it! We invite you to walk across Riga–Hollywood bridge with us! An exciting adventure awaits you: a tour in the theater, a story–play about Mikhail Chekhov and a real acting training. Even if you have never dreamed of becoming an actor, this experience will surely come in handy for you, and we will try to give you vivid impressions and moments to remember.

If you don't know who Mikhail Chekhov is, please, come: it would be interesting for you.

If you know who Mikhail Chekhov is, please, come: it would be even more interesting for you!

The project is being implemented with the support of the Riga Tourism Development Bureau (RTAB), based on the results of the "Riga 2020" online hackathon.

The digital part of the project was created with the support of the target program of the State Cultural Capital Fund "Cultural offer in the digital environment".
